The Save on Energy Home Assistance Program (HAP) provides income-eligible homeowners and tenants with free energy-efficient upgrades and an in-home energy assessment with a Home Energy Expert. The Save on Energy Home Assistance Program is designed to help reduce your monthly electricity costs and increase home comfort. 


Upgrades may include 

 

  • ENERGY STAR®certified LED light bulbs
  • ENERGY STAR®certified appliances
  • Insulation and weatherstripping

Eligibility details

You must meet the following criteria to qualify for the Home Assistance Program:

1) Resident must either live in Non-Profit Housing OR Own, rent, or lease the residence and be the primary or secondary utility account holder listed on the bill. 


2) Have a gross household income for last year that is not more than these income limits:

5 occupants $69,217
6 occupants $78,066
7 or more occupants $86,914

3) In the last twelve months: qualified to participate in a low-income natural gas program ORhave received a LEAP Emergency Financial Assistance grant
